π Farewell to Paradise β The Final Chapter of Our Kashmir Journey
Welcome to Kashmir Tour β Day 10, the final chapter of our unforgettable journey through the Valley of Kashmir.
After days filled with snow-covered mountains, peaceful gardens, rushing rivers, scenic valleys, Mughal architecture, village trails and magical sunsets, the final day arrives with a mixture of happiness and quiet emotion.
Our Kashmir journey began with excitement.
It continued through countless landscapes and unforgettable experiences.
And now, it slowly comes to an end.
But before leaving this paradise, Day 10 gives us a final opportunity to experience the beauty of Srinagar β from colourful tulip gardens and panoramic mountain views to peaceful spiritual surroundings and reflections across Dal Lake.
This is not simply the end of a tour.
It is a farewell to a place that has given us memories to carry home. π
At TravelWithSurajit, we believe that some journeys are best experienced without too many words.
No lengthy narration.
No unnecessary noise.
Just photographs, landscapes, emotions and memories.
Sometimes, silence says everything.
π· Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden β A Final Burst of Colour
One of the most beautiful highlights of our final day is the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar.
Situated at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range and overlooking the magnificent Dal Lake, the garden becomes a spectacular celebration of spring when thousands of tulips burst into colour.
The garden is famous for its enormous seasonal display of tulips and has become one of Kashmir’s most recognisable spring attractions.
Rows of flowers create colourful pathways across the landscape.
π· Red tulips
π· Yellow tulips
π· Pink tulips
π· White tulips
π· Purple shades
π· Green mountain surroundings
Together, they transform the garden into a living painting.
The contrast between the colourful flowers, blue sky, Dal Lake and surrounding mountains makes this one of the most photogenic places in Srinagar.
πΈ Kashmir’s Springtime Farewell
There is something particularly emotional about visiting the Tulip Garden on the final day of a Kashmir journey.
Throughout the tour, we have experienced Kashmir in many different moods.
βοΈ Snow-covered mountains
π² Pine forests
πΏ Green valleys
π Flowing rivers
πΊ Mughal gardens
π Golden sunsets
And now, the vibrant colours of spring.
The tulips seem almost like Kashmir’s final greeting before we begin our journey home.
Every pathway becomes another photograph.
Every flower becomes another memory.
And every glance toward the mountains reminds us that the journey is almost over.
ποΈ Zabarwan Mountains β The Perfect Backdrop
The location of the Tulip Garden adds enormously to its beauty.
Behind the colourful flowerbeds rise the Zabarwan mountains, creating a dramatic natural backdrop.
In front of the garden lies the beautiful Dal Lake.
Between them are thousands of blooming tulips.
It is this combination of:
π· Flowers
ποΈ Mountains
π Lake
βοΈ Sky
πΏ Greenery
that makes the Srinagar Tulip Garden such a spectacular destination for photography.
For a Digital Photo Album, it provides an almost endless collection of colourful frames.
π Shankaracharya Hill β Srinagar From Above
Our final day also brings us towards the Shankaracharya region, one of the most iconic viewpoints overlooking Srinagar.
Located on a hill above the city, the area provides magnificent panoramic views across the valley.
From the elevated viewpoint, Srinagar appears completely different.
The sprawling city stretches beneath the mountains.
Dal Lake shines between the surrounding landscape.
Houseboats and shikaras become tiny elements within the vast scenery.
And the surrounding mountains complete the panorama.
It is one of those places where simply standing still and looking around becomes an experience in itself.
π A Final View of Srinagar
From the heights of the Shankaracharya region, we get one last opportunity to appreciate the geography that made this Kashmir journey so memorable.
ποΈ Mountains surrounding the valley
π Dal Lake below
ποΈ Srinagar cityscape
πΏ Green landscapes
βοΈ Open Himalayan sky
The view creates a natural summary of the journey.
So many places that we explored during the previous days are connected by this single landscape.
The gardens.
The lake.
The mountains.
The roads.
The city.
Everything comes together in one final panoramic view.
π Dal Lake β Where Our Memories Float
No Kashmir journey feels complete without Dal Lake.
Throughout our trip, Dal Lake has appeared again and again β sometimes beneath the morning sky, sometimes surrounded by gardens, and sometimes glowing beneath the colours of sunset.
The lake is more than just a beautiful destination.
It is one of the defining symbols of Srinagar.
Its famous shikaras, traditional houseboats and reflections create scenes that remain unforgettable long after leaving Kashmir.
On our final day, the lake feels different.
Perhaps because we know we are leaving.
The same mountains.
The same water.
The same houseboats.
But now every view carries the emotion of farewell.
πΆ Houseboats β A Memory of Kashmir
The traditional Kashmiri houseboats are an inseparable part of the Dal Lake experience.
Decorated with intricate wooden craftsmanship and floating peacefully on the lake, they represent a unique aspect of Kashmir’s tourism and culture.
During our journey, the houseboats were not simply accommodation or scenery.
They became part of the story.
The gentle movement of the water.
The reflections of the mountains.
The sound of shikaras passing nearby.
The changing colours of the sky.
These small details become the memories that remain after the journey is finished.

π The Emotion of Leaving Kashmir
There is always a strange feeling when a beautiful journey reaches its final day.
You know you have to leave.
You know the roads will eventually take you away from the mountains.
You know the hotel room will soon become a memory.
You know the shikara ride will become a photograph.
And yet, something remains.
The sound of the water.
The smell of the mountains.
The colours of the flowers.
The cold Himalayan air.
The smiles of people you met along the way.
The endless roads through the valleys.
These are the things that photographs cannot completely capture β but they can help us remember.

From Aru Valley to Chandanwari and Betab Valley.
From the Mughal Gardens to Dal Lake.
From Gulmarg’s snowy mountains to Sonmarg’s glaciers.
From Doodhpathri to Yousmarg.
From waterfalls and village trails to peaceful shikara rides.

No unnecessary talking.
No complicated narration.
Just places.
Just people.
Just nature.
Just memories.
π· A Farewell, Not Goodbye
As the final images of Kashmir appear, this journey comes to a gentle close.
But perhaps a beautiful journey never really ends.
The photographs remain.
The memories remain.
The stories remain.
And somewhere in the heart, the mountains remain too.
Kashmir has given us ten days of landscapes, colours, culture, adventure, peace and unforgettable moments.
So this isn’t really goodbye.
It is simply:
Until Kashmir calls again. ποΈπ
