🏞️ About Tulip Garden, Srinagar
Located at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range and overlooking Dal Lake, the Tulip Garden is Asia’s largest tulip garden, featuring more than a million vibrant tulips every spring. Originally known as Siraj Bagh, the garden was opened in 2007 and has become one of Kashmir’s biggest seasonal attractions.
📍 How to Reach Tulip Garden
Reaching the garden is simple from Srinagar city. It is around 8 km from Lal Chowk and well-connected by taxi, auto, or private vehicle. The garden lies close to Nishat and Chashme Shahi, making it a part of the Mughal Garden circuit.
🎟️ Tulip Garden Entry Fee
₹75 per adult and ₹40 per child (subject to seasonal change).
⏳ Timings: 8 AM to 7 PM during bloom season.
🌸 Best Time to Visit Tulip Garden
The garden opens only for 20–30 days every year, usually from late March to mid-April during the world-famous Srinagar Tulip Festival. Morning and late afternoon offer the best light for photography.
🌄 About Doodhpathri Meadows
Known as the “Valley of Milk,” Doodhpathri features endless meadows, pine forests, and the cold milky-white Shaliganga River. This high-altitude meadow remains cool even in summer and is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and travellers seeking peace away from the city crowds.
📍 How to Reach Doodhpathri
Located about 40 km from Srinagar, Doodhpathri can be reached in 1.5–2 hours by taxi. The drive takes you through Budgam district, passing scenic villages and rolling hills.
💰 Entry Fee or Permit
No entry ticket is required, but parking and pony rides come with charges depending on the season.
🌤️ Best Time to Visit Doodhpathri
Summer (April–October) is perfect for green meadows, while winter brings snow-covered landscapes. For comfortable sightseeing, April to September is ideal.
