Treasure Hunter: The Seventh Tide of Andaman
Chapter 6 – Corbyn’s Cove Clue
S ome clues don’t hide.
They wait.
For the right light.
🌊 Corbyn’s Cove Beach
The sea was calmer than I expected.
We had left the heaviness of Cellular Jail behind—
but not really.
Because something from there…
had followed us.
“15 minutes drive,” Binod had said.
He was right.
Palm trees lined the road.
Curved gently along the coastline.
Occasionally—
the sea flashed between them.
By the time we reached—
it was almost sunset.
✨ Golden hour.
“Perfect lighting,” I said instantly.
Camera already out.
“That’s all you see?” Arindam Da asked.
“Content is important, Dada.”
“Context is more important.”
Ishani Di smiled.
“Dujoner combination-ei story hoy,” she said.
That again.
That balance.
🏝️ The Beach
Soft sand.
Gentle waves.
Tourists scattered across the shore.
A group of college students taking selfies.
A couple walking barefoot.
A coconut vendor shouting—
“Dab! Fresh dab!”
Life.
Normal.
Simple.
Which made it easier—
to forget what we had just seen.
But not for long.
“Sir, water activities kal korte parben,” Binod said.
“Today just relax.”
“Jet ski?” I asked instantly.
“Kal better,” he replied.
I nodded.
Content postponed.
🥥 Small Real Moments
We took coconuts.
Sat near the shoreline.
“Eita best part,” Subho Kaku said happily.
“Travel mane khawa, hawa, aar golpo.”
“Golpo beshi hoye jacche na?” I asked.
He looked at me.
Smiled.
“Golpo jodi nijer theke ashe… tahole beshi hoy na.”
I didn’t like how that sounded.
❤️ The Quiet Distance
Ishani Di had walked ahead.
Closer to the water.
Camera in hand.
But not shooting.
Just watching.
Arindam Da stood a few steps behind her.
Not calling.
Not interrupting.
Just… staying close.
I walked up beside him.
“Dada…”
“Hm?”
“You like her, right?”
Straight.
Simple.
He didn’t react immediately.
Then—
“Focus on your work, Rit.”
I grinned.
“That’s not a no.”
He exhaled slowly.
“She doesn’t need confusion.”
“Neither do you,” I replied.
He didn’t answer.
But his eyes—
never left her.
🌅 The Moment
Sun was dropping fast.
Sky turned orange.
Then gold.
Then something softer.
Ishani Di stood still.
Facing the sea.
Wind moved through her hair.
And for a second—
everything slowed.
I raised my camera.
📸 Click.
And then—
something strange happened.
🔍 The Reflection
“Rit…”
Her voice.
Different.
I lowered the camera.
“What happened?”
She didn’t turn.
“Come here.”
I walked closer.
She pointed.
Not at the sea.
At the water—
near the shore.
“Look carefully.”
I leaned in.
Waves moved gently.
Reflecting the sky.
Nothing unusual.
“Ki dekhbo?” I asked.
“Not the water,” she said softly.
“The reflection.”
I frowned.
Looked again.
And then—
I saw it.
Not clearly.
But enough.
Lines.
Patterns.
Forming—
something familiar.
My heartbeat shifted.
“Dada…” I called.
Arindam Da came closer.
“What is it?”
“Look.”
He crouched slightly.
Focused.
His eyes narrowed.
And then—
he saw it too.
A symbol.
Distorted.
Because of the moving water.
But still—
recognizable.
The same.
From the diary.
⚡ The Activation
“Impossible,” he whispered.
Ishani Di shook her head.
“Not impossible.”
“Intentional.”
Subho Kaku came closer.
“Ki holo?”
We didn’t answer.
Because at that moment—
something else happened.
The sun dipped lower.
The reflection shifted.
And suddenly—
the pattern aligned.
Clear.
Sharp.
For just a second.
Then—
gone.
I stepped back.
“Okay… that’s not normal.”
“No,” Arindam Da said.
“It’s not.”
📖 The Second Message
Ishani Di opened the diary.
Hands steady this time.
She turned to the same page.
The faded one.
And slowly—
letters began to appear.
Not magically.
But as if—
light revealed what was always there.
“…Havelock…”
We froze.
“…holds…”
A pause.
“…the second key…”
Silence.
Only the sound of waves.
❤️ The Shift
Ishani Di looked up.
At Arindam Da.
“This is real.”
He held her gaze.
Long.
Too long.
Then said quietly—
“Yes.”
No argument.
No doubt.
Just acceptance.
And something else.
Concern.
👁️ The Watcher
I felt it before I saw it.
That strange sensation.
Like someone was looking.
I turned.
A man stood near the trees.
Not a tourist.
Not relaxed.
Watching.
Us.
The moment our eyes met—
he looked away.
Walked off.
Fast.
“Dada…” I whispered.
“I saw him,” Arindam Da replied.
Subho Kaku spoke softly—
“Amra eka noi.”
We are not alone.
🔚 End Hook
The sun disappeared.
Darkness slowly took over the sea.
But inside—
something had lit up.
The diary was no longer silent.
The islands were no longer random.
And the journey—
was no longer ours alone.
Because somewhere—
someone else—
already knew.
