Chapter 7 – The Second Page

N ot every page is meant to be read.
Some—
reveal themselves only when you’re ready.

🌃 Port Blair

Night had settled quietly over the island.

From our hotel balcony—
the sea was invisible.

But we could hear it.

Waves.
Steady.
Endless.

Like something repeating—
again and again—
waiting to be understood.

🏨 Back at the Hotel

Hotel Rhishabh

Dinner was simple.
Rice.
Dal.
Fish curry.

Subho Kaku approved instantly.

“Ei jaiga ta bhalo,” he declared.

I nodded.

“Food rating: 9/10. Content rating: 11/10.”

No one laughed.

Because none of us were really there.

Mentally.

We were still at the beach.

Still seeing that reflection.

Still hearing those words—

“Havelock holds the second key.”

📖 The Page Changes

Back in the room—
we gathered.

Me and Ishani Di on one bed.
Arindam Da and Subho Kaku opposite.

The diary lay between us.

No one touched it immediately.

As if—
it might react.

“Open it,” I said finally.

Ishani Di looked at Arindam Da.

He nodded.

She opened it slowly.

Same page.

But not the same anymore.

New markings had appeared.

Faint.
But visible.

Numbers.

Coordinates.

“Okay… this is getting serious,” I whispered.

“Rit, note it down,” Arindam Da said.

Already in analysis mode.

I grabbed my phone.

“Reading…”

“11 point something… North…”

“92 point something… East…”

I stopped.

Looked up.

“Dada… eta to location.”

“I know,” he said.

“Check it.”

📍 The Coordinates

Network was slow.

Island internet.

Unpredictable.

But after a few tries—
map loaded.

Pin dropped.

Silence.

“Show me,” Ishani Di said.

I turned the screen.

She leaned closer.

Too close.

Her shoulder touched mine.

I didn’t move.

Because—
I didn’t want to break the moment.

“Where is it?” she whispered.

“Havelock Island,” I replied.

Havelock Island
Exact.

Precise.

Not random.

🧠 Arindam Da Connects

“Coordinates are not approximate,” he said.

“They’re intentional.”

“Means?” I asked.

“It leads to a specific point.”

Subho Kaku leaned forward.

“Sei jayga ta ki public?”

Arindam Da didn’t answer immediately.

“Depends,” he said.

“On what?”

“On who left this.”

Silence again.

❤️ The Quiet Concern

Ishani Di looked at the diary.

Then at him.

“We’re still going, right?”

It wasn’t excitement.

It was something deeper.

He saw it.

And for a moment—
his logical mind paused.

“Yes,” he said softly.

“But carefully.”

A pause.

Then—
very quietly—

“You don’t have to do this.”

She looked at him.

Almost smiled.

“I’m not doing this alone.”

Something changed in his expression.

Not visible to everyone.

But I saw it.

Because I watch.

😄 Rit Breaks the Mood

“Okay… great,” I said.

“So tomorrow—ferry, scuba, beach…”

“And secret coordinates.”

“Normal trip.”

Subho Kaku chuckled.

“Rit, tumi thakle sob normal hoye jay.”

“Exactly,” I said proudly.

“Emotional stability provider.”

Arindam Da shook his head slightly.

But I saw it—
that small smile again.

🚢 Practical Reality – Day 2 Prep

Binod had already briefed us.

“Sir, kal 6:30 AM pickup.”

“Ferry 8 baje.”

“Carry ID.”

“Light luggage.”

“Sea sometimes rough,” he added.

“Medicine lagle niye nin.”

“Scuba slot booked afternoon.”

“Radhanagar Beach sunset.”

Real travel.

Real plan.

But now—
with something extra.

👁️ The Watcher Returns

Later that night—
I stepped out.

Balcony.

Needed air.

Needed distance.

But something felt off.

Again.

That same feeling.

I looked down.

Parking area.

Dim light.

And there—

The same man.

From the beach.

Standing near the gate.

Looking up.

At our room.

Our eyes met.

This time—
he didn’t look away immediately.

Just stared.

Then—
slowly—
turned.

And disappeared.

My heartbeat increased.

“Dada,” I called quietly.

He came out.

“What happened?”

“I think… someone is following us.”

He looked down.

Empty now.

“Description?” he asked.

I told him.

He listened carefully.

Then—
“Don’t panic,” he said.

“I’m not,” I replied.

“Good.”

But his eyes—
had already changed.

🔚 End Hook

Inside—
the diary lay open.

Coordinates glowing faintly under the light.

Outside—
the sea continued its rhythm.

Unchanged.

Unbothered.

But we weren’t.

Because now—
this wasn’t curiosity anymore.

This was direction.

And someone—
somewhere—

was already ahead of us..
