🌲 The Ride Back to Stillness – When the Journey Becomes the Destination

Sometimes, we think the adventure ends when we reach our destination. But in the mountains, the return journey can be just as beautiful — sometimes even more magical.

After spending peaceful moments near Doodhganga, surrounded by the natural beauty of Yusmarg, it was time to return towards the main meadow. Instead of simply retracing our steps, we continued our experience on horseback through the scenic mountain trail.

This was not a journey filled with excitement or rushing towards the next attraction. It was a slower, quieter experience — the gentle rhythm of horses, the fresh mountain breeze and the peaceful surroundings of Kashmir.

🐎 A Scenic Horse Ride from Doodhganga to Yusmarg

The return horse ride offered a different perspective of the landscape we had explored earlier.

As the horses moved along the trail, we passed through forested stretches, open grasslands and beautiful natural surroundings. The changing views made every moment feel fresh, even though we were travelling back towards a familiar place.

There was something special about experiencing the mountains at the pace of a horse.

The soft sound of hooves against the trail, the movement of branches in the breeze and the occasional opening in the forest created an atmosphere that felt far removed from the noise of everyday life.

One of the most beautiful parts of the ride was the journey through the pine-covered landscape.
